I live on the westside of Albuquerque and would love to form a joy school group of moms living in the area. I have 5 kids and have never used joy school. My youngest is 3 1/2 and I would really like to do joy school with her, but need other moms to make it happen. Please reply if you are interested.

This year I will have my last (6th) child at home. I have done home preschools but never joy school. A friend wants to do a group. Is it worth paying for when I will only be using it for one, maybe two years? I should have joined earlier!

My family and I are moving to Carrollton next week. Considering Joy School as an option for my 4 year old boy :) Following this thread.

I have the same question. I’m wishing I would have done it with my 5-year-old who is starting kindergarten now.

I live in South Jordan and am looking for a group for my daughter for Fall of 2019.
She will be 2 this fall, so too early for JS.
              Just putting feelers out!

Hi! I too am looking to join a Joy School group for the upcoming school year. I am in Mesa in the 85205 zip code. Please email me to see if we’re in the same area. We’ll schedule a playdate to see if we’re a good fit! Hathcock17@outlook.com

@BeccaBlack, I won’t be joining until next year, but would South Jordan be too far for your group? I’m close to Bangerter and 9800 S

I need simple ideas to learn and play with my daughter at the same time at home, to prep for JoySchool. She will be 2 in October. Simple crafts are ok, though she is not really into the crafting stage yet (she’s really into destroying) :)
Sometimes I feel bored of the same old and want to mix things up!

                      Thanks!

Hello all! I hope to draw on your experiences and expertise.

I have a 4 year old boy who is 1 year away from entering full day kindergarten. I’m not concerned about him academically, he’s learning to read just fine, but I would like to get him in a program, preschool or otherwise, to prepare him for going to school all day, every day, next year.

My question is, have you found Joy School to adequately prepare your kids for leaving home and going to school full time? From what I know about Joy School, it focuses less on the reading and writing and more on social learning and other essential skills. I love that idea, but I’m wondering if the fact that it’s a less formal set up (run out of homes rather than a classroom setting) makes a difference in kindergarten readiness.

                          Thank you for your help!

Yes! I absolutely think this program is worth every penny, even if used for only one child. I think it helps to think of the life-long benefit rather than one-time monetary cost: Your child will be taught values at a critical learning period in life, make friends, and have joy. And I have really enjoyed being apart of my children’s preschool learning experience!
